Hassan Nezamian
This class is designed to give you a solid understanding of the fundamental basics of photography; the 'nuts and bolts' stuff that will set you on the path to understanding your camera and how to create great shots.

Armed with these fundamentals, you will have the skills and the confidence to approach any style of photography, from portraits to landscapes and everything in between.

During this course, we will cover such topics as the Exposure Triangle, Camera Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO and Composition.

Photography is a technical exercise and there is a lot to learn, but these basics apply to any type of photography. However, as we only have a limited time to cover each of these topics, please keep a copy of this course guide and practice these tricks and techniques over and over again whenever you can.

Taking great photos takes time, practice, patience and consideration.

In the beginning stages,it is very easy to become frustrated that your images don't capture your subject as you would like to.

This is perfectly normal and even professional photographers face this same challenge.

Be patient with it, you're learning and with practice your photography will improve with every shot.

Street art is a unique and colorful art form and can be found in all kinds of nooks and crannies in cities all over the world. Capturing art in the streets in photographs can be tricky because these urban art pieces are in public spaces, that are busy and usually filled with a decent amount of traffic. Sometimes you include the people and sometimes, you don't.

I really enjoyed my 2 hours with Emanuele who kindly changed the event to meet the changing difficult weather conditions. His depth of knowledge backed up his patience really helped me to better understand concepts such as separation. A natural teacher and person who builds confidence in the student, any time spent with him is time well invested.

Excellent. Tutor started by explaining the theory of photography and then moved on to explain the technicalities of my camera, settings and how I can get a good portrait shot in sunlight and in shade. He has also assigned challenges as exercises for us to do based on our levels. All in all I thought it was a great use of a bright sunny weekend in Edinburgh. Thank you for organizing these workshops.

Very good if challenging and a lot of info. Particularly appreciated that Emanuele took time to speak to each of us individually with suggestions of settings to try. I feel I needed that at my level so very, very useful. Thoroughly enjoyed and great value for money. Friendly group too.
