Sunset Photography
A beautiful sunset can be enjoyed and appreciated by everyone. Photographers refer to the last (dusk) hours of the day as the "golden hours" when the light is at its best for photography. Our light meters can be thrown off by the strong amount of light hitting our sensor, so we will be exploring manual mode and exposure compensation to intensify the colours of our sunset.

or Buy a Voucher as a gift
Each two hour class will focus on one theme or particular aspect of photography, in a different location each fortnight. A professional photographer will also be there to help answer questions and offer advice on the day. Groups larger than 12 will have multiple instructors.

The minimum age requirement is 10 years old; children under 14 need to be accompanied by an adult, who will need to make a separate booking.

A DSLR camera, or a camera with manual controls is preferable, but you are welcome to bring bring any kind of camera or smartphone. There will be a substantial amount of walking involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella should the weather call for it.

Your experience doesn稚 stop once the class ends - you can also share your photos with your peers in the Edinburgh Photography Facebook Group and enter our fortnightly themed competitions to have chances to win great photography prizes.

This is the first event of this type I have attended and was really nervous. The host Lara really put me at ease and was great throughout the morning. It was great that there was only 3 of us, Lara was able to split her time most generously between us all. A great price, not prohibitive at all.
